The Spatial Development of Interregional Co-operation in the Danube Space

Expected impacts:

The project will produce a concept of the defined territory arrangement generally accepted by the Member States in a way to form a basis for the creation of:

1. conditions for the optimisation of territorial-technical, social-economic and environmental relations between territorial units along the Danube river,
2. mutually interconnected and balanced residential-economic development centres positively influencing the development of the other Member States territories,
3. conditions for the establishment of the system interconnecting territories across Europe, which will operate as a stabiliser by balancing the regional disparities and at the same time as an initiator of increasing competitiveness in individual Member States not only in the territorial-technical area, but also social-economic area.
